Inside the Snatch Magazine Issue 1 Launch Party
We threw a launch party for Issue 1 on Sunday, November 16 at Wandering Barman in East Williamsburg.
The room was full, including a bunch of the contributors who were able to make it and bring their people. We got to meet some of the writers who captured what it feels like to love women's sports in ways the mainstream still doesn't understand, the photographers whose work fills the pages, and the creators behind the fan-run small businesses highlighted in the issue.
There was something so special about getting to see this group in a room together, and not just scattered across my Instagram DMs or email threads. We finally made it out of the group chat! People talking, laughing, holding the physical magazine(!!), engaging with the work. It felt like proof that authentic representation for women's sports and queer communities matters.
